Richard Ballantyne is the chief of security services for Mystic Seaport, The Museum of America and the Sea in Mystic, Connecticut. 

Richard has been a professional trainer of athletes in the United States and England since 1980. He has also been a trainer and consultant for R.E.B. Training International, Inc. since 1988 where he worked with corporations, hospitals, universities, and police departments throughout the United States as a certified instructor-trainer in Management Of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB^®), Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT^®) and Practical and Tactical Handcuffing (PATH^TM).  Mr. Ballantyne is also a International instructor of Monadnock PR-24, MEB and MDTS

He is a member of ILEETA (International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association), The National Fire Protection Association, ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security), and The Connecticut Police Chief's Association Private Security Committee.
